Hey there hun!
It could have something to do with your gallbladder, liver, ribs...
Does it hurt after eating or all the time?
*hugs*

Gallstones - Symptoms
The most common symptom of gallstones is pain in the stomach area or in the upper right part of the belly, under the ribs.
The pain may:
* Develop suddenly in the center of the upper belly (epigastric area) and spread to the right upper back or shoulder blade area. It is usually hard to get comfortable; moving around does not make the pain go away.
* Prevent you from taking normal or deep breaths.
* Last 15 minutes to 24 hours. Continuous pain for 1 to 5 hours is common.
* Begin at night and be severe enough to wake you.
* Occur after meals.

What are the symptoms?
A fractured rib may cause:
* Mild to severe pain in the injured area.
* Pain when you breathe.
* Pain around the fracture when someone pushes on your breastbone.
If you can't breathe normally because of pain or flail chest, you may:
* Feel short of breath.
* Feel anxious, restless, or scared.
* Have a headache.
* Feel dizzy, tired, or sleepy.

Malinda, sorry you're having this pain. It is great news that your PET scan showed you were cancer free! Usually by the 9 month mark, people with fibro have pain in all four quadrants of their body, not just the chest area. That is a really long period of time to continue having pain. This pain could be caused by your bones, cartilage, muscles, or nerves, so.... It does sound a little like costochondritis which can last a long time. Did you have any chemo for your cervical cancer? If so, I'm sure they've checked you for any bone loss which could cause osteoporosis which can cause pain. Have you noticed any other symptoms with this pain? Any increased shortness of breath at rest, during pain, or with exertion? Does it hurt more when you press on your chest? Just some questions for you to think about before your next doc's appointment. Sometimes keeping a journal of your exact symptoms can reveal things you may not have noticed. You definitely need to continue asking your PCP about this until you get a diagnosis and get it resolved. I do hope you get an answer very soon, and better yet, get rid of the pain!
