I read today that Canada has very few?
Christians and consider the word 'Jesus' to be a curse word. Those under age 40 practically know nothing of Him. I am dumbfounded, as I live in the Bible Belt where we all know of Jesus. Any Canadians want to share info on this information? Is it true?
yes it said churches are being turned into schools and museums, that Catholicism went from 95% to 5% in 40 years. It was written by a church planter missionary, a Baptist.

Perhaps false religions are suffering a decline and no one goes to those churches any more.
But Jehovah's Witnesses are thriving in Canada.
There are over 112,000 JW's there with a growth over the previous years.
I guess Godly minded people in Canada are abandoning their old false religious ways and are realizing that the Jehovah's Witness are the only ones today preaching and teaching the truth from the Bible.
Micah 4:2 . . ''.And many nations will certainly go and say: “Come, YOU people, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will instruct us about his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” . . .''

I know in Quebec, canadian province, religion is pratically dead among 40yo and less people. A lot of churches close because they cannot survive, because they are so empty.
For the Rest of Canada I don't really know because the province of Québec is very different from the Rest of Canada in my opinion but I THINK it's pretty much the same.

Science has shown atheists have a higher intelligence than people with a strong religious faith. The difference is 5.8 points according to findings in developmental psychology!!!
More members of the "intellectual elite" considered themselves atheists than the national average.
Only 7 percent of members of the American National Academy of Sciences believed in God. Whilst only 3.3 percent believed in God in the UK’s Royal Society.
Several Gallup poll studies of the general population have shown that those with higher IQ’s tend not to believe in God."
Evolution in action with Christians getting left behind like the monkeys and apes before them!!!

unfortunately, no, too many people still know about the bible and the Jesus theory. In fact, my grand children are in Catholic school because the education is much better than public.Public schools are full of immigrant muslim kids whose parents are trying to force their religion into schools. but, yes jesus is indeed a curse word throughout most of thecountry, but then we have more atheists here than are in the deep south

I am Canadian, and my mom is from down south. I was raised christian and went to a public school. I think the reason most people of my generation are so distanced from their religion is because it is almost politically incorrect to speak about one's faith. Also Canada is a melting pot of religions. In my public high-school Christians were considered a minority!!

I have heard that in Quebec the people are living secular lives, and many churches are being turned into schools. I do not know if this is true or not.

you need to reconsider who you get your info from.
EDIT: for some reason i feel compelled to help you. so scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on canada's flag (red and white columns w/ a leaf in the middle). it will make it so that when you post this question again it shows up in the canadian version of R&S rather then the american one. that will help you get more answers from canadians who don't necessarily always see what appears in our version.

They're a primitive folk up there in Canadia, with strange shamanistic beliefs.
They revere the moose as if it were a god, and pray to it and ask it to watch over their igloos and their sled dogs, and to protect them from the wild Yetis that roam the wildernesses of Great Canadia.

You read this where, please? About 40% of Canadians are Roman Catholic. About 30% are Protestant. So what you read is not only a lie, it's a ridiculous lie.
