Is there anyone else who can no longer stand the party back biting?
Republicans! Democrats!
Why can't you even think about the idea that both parties have failed us?
What proof do you need?
ritch...if you list out platforms they are no longer that different...especially if you discount lifestyle issues.. that should not be politicized

I agree! Fact still remains that the blame game still exists and no one wants to admit their wrongs!

Absolutely. They keep on accusing each other. In a sense, they are right, because they are both guilty.
For me, the Fannie Freddie thing was the clearest example of massive corruption from both parties.
Wall Street recklessly securitized all these mortgages, while insanely leveraging their insufficient assets. Banks and brokers were taking their cut. Meanwhile, the government (Dems and Reps in turn) was encouraging banks to lower the standards for mortgage deals, while shipping manufacturing jobs abroad.
To expand this endless flow, they increased the subprime loans to NINJA borrowers. In their mind, it was ultimately good for Home Depot and al., even though most of these new buyers were not equipped to buy a house on these outlandish terms. Politicians and CEOs (Frank, Dodd, Reynes and others) took their cut, in one form or another. True, some Reps wanted to investigate all that. They were called names by Frank, Walters and all kinds of Dems who guaranteed that everything was hunky-dory. And those attempts an cleaning the trough did not go any further.
And here we are now. Depression and Corruption from both parties.
And all the major problems (see California, the bellwether of America : if this is true, just fasten your seatbelts...) are not addressed, and deficits keep on piling, and American workers and businessmen and women have to go through these terrible times.
It is time to throw all these incompetent politicians and bankers and Wall Street crooks out of business, and in jail if needed, and re-create a grassroots Reform movement. It is a matter of survival now. Most of these incapable politicians are worthless. The people who have allowed the slaughtering of the American manufacturing base, and this includes Dems and Reps all alike, to the exception of very few, should not remain in power. All this madness has to come to an end. Again, it is about survival, values and integrity. Now, it is easy to say, but what can be done to get there? And who can lead? I have no idea.

The show must go on! What in the last 30 plus years has our Government done for we the people? Nothing! Our quality of living is down, jobs are scarce, none of the wars we have fought were to protect America from an invading force. Our leaders give our money away to everyone but us. Israel, Egypt, Pakistan, Soviet Union, Mexico, United Nations, Japan, Iraq and the list goes on. Now we are out of money but we still give it away but not for us, for the bankers. If our Founding Fathers were alive today they would burn the White House to the ground while Congress was in session.
We can't take care of our own people but the flood gates of immigration are wide open, we don't have good jobs but NAFTA was good for us, we give Most Favored Trade Status to China who now owns us and continues with crimes against humanity. Yes the blame game has worked well for them as they continue to hold out their hand to the highest bidder, but don't believe for one moment they give a **** about you or what you think. Just make sure you keep working overtime and pay your taxes.

So, the two opposing ideologies should just get along, huh? Which would you suggest surrender their values to make nice with the other?

I'm one, I take the time to insult both parties here when I can.
Then I go somewhere else for my real discussions.

i totally agree with your premise. we need to look at the real culprits however, we as voters continue to be dumb, stupid, ignorant (take your choice) enough to re-elect them. we do need a change but not the one we just got.

Agree. They are ALL in this together.
