How do you get the black mold off of the silicone around the shower door?

We clean our shower all the time, but we just can't seem to get the black moldy stuff off the silicone around the shower door on the inside. Any suggestions?

Put some bleach in a spray bottle and spray the area down. Be sure to wipe any bleach off the drain and any other metal. Let it stay for a few hours and rinse thoroughly. After that spray with white vinegar to kill the mold. Let that sit overnight.

If that doesn't do it then you will have to remove the caulk and replace.

Clean the area with 91% isopropyl alcohol(located next to rubbing alcohol) before apply new silicone and let cure for 24 hours before using shower.

Chlorine bleach sprayed on the mold will kill it and take away the resulting stain.

You can also scrap the silicone off, and reapply fresh mold resistant sealant.

The only way you can be sure to remove all the mold so it doesn't start spreading again is to remove the old, infected silicone with a razor knife, clean the area with a bleach-water solution, and apply new silicone.

A strong mixture of water and bleach, let stand for 15 minutes, then reapply until it does not reappear.

I spray everything w/ bleach, it's the only thing I know that works.

    did you try bleach?

    Let it soak in.

Don't mix bleach with ammonia based cleaners = chlorine gas.
