POLL: At what age did your child give up their afternoon nap?

both my children were different my 9 year old son napped till he was about 4 years old. now my daughter is now 4 going on 5 and she naps faithfully everyday. so i think it just varies on the child cause not only does my daughter still take her afternoon nap but she still goes to bed at 7 pm and sleeps till 6:30 am.

My granddaughter will be 3 in april. She takes a 2 1/2 hour nap every afternoon from 12:30 to 3:00. She's not ready to stop. She still has a nap at preschool for an hour or so.

I used to artwork in day care has properly. They even make babies 5 has properly taking a nap. My oldest son did no longer like that. yet my different son does no longer concepts taking a nap. Now i'm stay abode mom. My oldest son is 7 and would not desire a nap anymore. yet my 5 three hundred and sixty 5 days outdated I enable him quit taking a nap while he became 4 and a million/2 three hundred and sixty 5 days outdated. Now he's 5 three hundred and sixty 5 days outdated as quickly as awhile he fall to sleep in afternoon for nap. i think of relies upon how plenty sleep he have been given in the process the night.

My daughter is 22 months old, and up until about 1 - 1/2 months ago napped everday at the same time. now she MIGHT nap twice a week and about 3 hrs later than she used to. Mostly she'll pass out in her highchair for a power nap around 3 pm, which lasts 1 hr MAX.

My children took two naps a day until they were two and then they went to just taking one nap a day. They are three and a half and still need and hour and a half nap every afternoon to keep them going and happy.

At 2 1/2 we still have our afternoon nap/rest time. Her preschool has nap time, so we keep the same schedule at home.

My older boys who are almost 4 and 5 still take a nap around 3. Otherwise they are whiny, moody monsters until bedtime.

I do child care. I stop their naps by age 4. To prepare them for school.
