Texans probably have the best chance. They weren't bad last year, they were just unlucky enough to be in the same division with the Titans and Colts. And they lacked consistency. If they mature this year, I can see them being a definite wild card team.

The Packers are likely as well. Aaron Rodgers didn't do a bad job at quarterback. Their defense really let them down in tight games. If the D gets better, they can win the mediocre NFC North.

The Redskins are too inconsistent on both sides to make it too the playoffs. Unless Jason Campbell really matures, I don't see them going past a 500 record.

The Bills are kind of a question mark. They started out hot last year, and ended up with a 7-9 record. T.O could make a big impact, but not big enough to call them a playoff contender.

The Chiefs have absolutely no defense. They really need to tighten up the D in this draft. And there are questions about the quarterback position. Is Thigpen good enough to be a full 16 game starter? Will the Chiefs draft another QB? What about Croyle and Huard? I see the Chiefs going 7-9 (which is a big improvement, which is saying something).

I agree with the Texans and Packers. Not the others.

The Redskins? Danny Boy Snyder just keeps trying to buy a Super Bowl every year. Like a wannabe Jerry Jones. Forget them.

The Bills? Good luck with team killer T.O.. As a Dallas fan I know of what I speak.

And the Chiefs? They need defense. They set an NFL record low with ten sacks last year. Ten-all season! (Dallas had two 8 sacks GAMES, by comparison).

  • You made my whole day! I've been saying the Packers have a good chance! I've been vindicated.

The Packers have a strong offense, they get the defense working and watch out! I agree that we need to sign someone else to help with the 3-4. A strong veteran who knows the 3-4.

    Strong Packer fan

Bills and Chiefs were put on the list because of the trades (Matt cassel and T.O.). So that means anything short of making the playoffs for both those teams is a disappointment. Same thing goes for Redskins.

The Packers will do the same as last year, if not worse.

The Texans willprobably win their division, surprisingly. They have great players like Andre Johnson, Mario Williams, and Steve Slaton. I am very jealous.

  • I think it's complete bull crap. Last year, they were doing the EXACT SAME THING. The only difference, they were predicting who would pull a Giants-like season. No team did that.

People need to stop making predictions of teams that are going to copy what some other team did the season before. The fact of the matter is, every season is different, and ALL of these so-called "experts" don't want to believe that.

That is why I believe all of these so-called "experts" (who are by the way, getting paid WAY TOO MUCH to do this BS) need to get real jobs. I could do the exactly same thing they are doing, not only better, but also at a less expensive cost.

i can agree with texans, skins, packers, and bills. cheifs idk.

i think jaguars also can make a late play-off run.

edit- i dont think seeing the saints in the SB will be a surprise. they failed to make the play-offs for the last 2 years but they are a great team. wont surprise me 1 bit.

I dont think a really successful surprise team will come from the AFC because the teams at the top are so good and established (Indy,NE,Pitt,Tenn, and San Diego all are a cut above).

In the NFC... Seattle or the 49ers

I do think the Texans will be very good

the saints should be up there.even though they defense sucked, were on there 4th and 5th string players so they gonna suck like that. now that the players are healthy they will improve in defense. the saints also are ranked 1st in scoring so putting points on the board is no problem and they have dreww brees so y arent they up there
