i don't know fur sure, but do you drink water dear? There are many forms of metabolism going on in your body right now, but the one everyone is talking about it the metabolism of fat. This is actually something that the liver does when it converts stored fat to energy. The liver has other functions, but this is one of its main jobs.
Unfortunately, another of the liver's duties is to pick up the slack for the kidneys, which need plenty of water to work properly. If the kidneys are water-deprived, the liver has to do their work along with its own, lowering its total productivity. It then can't metabolize fat as quickly or efficiently as it could when the kidneys were pulling their own weight. If you allow this to happen, not only are you being unfair to your liver, but you're also setting yourself up to store fat.

everything you do burns calories actually. chewing food. sitting/standing up straight. thinking. walking. writing. raising your arm to answer a question(if your in school).
not alooot of calories. but you do burn calories. your using you muscles to hold your body up
:)
keep exercising though(and eating healthy) it slows the aging process. and helps you look good and feel good.
i found out that green tea has something in it that speeds up your metabolism(something to do with the caffiene) so you burn more calories
have 1-3 glasses of green tea a day(my favorite is lipton mandarin orange green tea) it also helps you curb your hunger when your craving junk food.
also my favorite snack when i'm craving oh let's say chips is sweet potatoe. i usually bake the whole bag(it takes a long time) and put it in the refrigerator for the week. it takes about a minute to warm up in the microwave after being cooked
have a good day and goodluck :)

No matter what u r burning calories because your two always working muscles (heart and diaphram) need energy as well as cell division. Even taking a good crap can burn calories.

My esteemed colleague Jen is quite right, but let me just correct a small typo. It's a BMR, or Basal Metabolic Rate, which is the amount of calories burned to support keeping your heart and lungs and other physical processes working. This varies greatly depending on your weight, age, and height. For an example, an 18 year old female, 5 foot 3 inches, and 120 pounds, needs to consume about 1895 calories per day to maintain her weight without exercise. If she exercises, she needs more calories, unless she's trying to lose weight. If she's trying to lose weight, she shouldn't go much below her BMR, or her metabolism will start hanging on to calories instead of burning them.
EDIT: Thanks for the additional info. The following was calculated at about.com's nutrition guide for men:
You need 3138.3 calories per day to maintain your current weight without exercise.
You need 3138.3 calories per day to reach your goal weight slowly and maintain that weight without exercise.
If you reduce your current caloric intake to 2638.3 calories per day you will lose one pound per week without exercise.
If you increase your current caloric intake to 3638.3 calories per day, you will gain one pound per week.
Exercise and Calorie Needs
If you exercise for 30 minutes each day, you may increase your caloric intake to 3430.6 calories per day and still maintain your current weight.
If you exercise for 60 minutes each day, you may increase your caloric intake to 3802.6 calories per day to maintain your current weight.
If you exercise for 30 minutes each day, you will be able to reach your goal weight with 3430.6 calories per day.
If you exercise for 60 minutes each day, you will be able to reach your goal weight with 3802.6 calories per day.

since you did not give your height, you can figure out your BRM. It the amount of calories you body needs to maintain its current weight doing nothing

If you don't do anything then you don't lose any weight
