Did you ever move and miss the foods that you used to eat?

My step uncle came for a visit from Door County, Wi and brought some real Wisconsin cheese to the poorer parts of Texas. Our cheese, tomato and corn on the cob tastes plain, dull, bland, and boring compared to Wisconsin cheese.

I spent 15 years there and just loved the cheddar cheese and fresh picked apples. I know my Texas steaks are better as is our Tex Mex, but MAN, I miss good cheese!

Momma was nice enough to share a small chunk of it with me and I'm eating it now. Plain. Just sliced. Savoring every little bite like a good french chocolate.

Should I get on a cheese a month thing? Does anywhere in Green Bay or Door County have something like this to ship (cold) to Texas? Since I live out in the country, I don't get treasures like palette pleasing cheese anymore.

I don't want the crap that you see in malls on kiosks selling sausage and cheeses. I'm talking REAL Wisconsin cheese from WI??? God, I just can't stop eating it. It so melts in my mouth! I need more!

Help me find a Wisconsin cheese place that delivers refrigerated cheese to the south. Thanks!

As for dairy, No. The vegan ice cream is scrumptious, the almond/soy milk is robust, the vegan butter is creamy and scrumptious, i found a great vegan mayo noted as Vegenaise, and Tofutti makes an excellent vegan bitter cream and cream cheese. so a approaches as eggs flow, i became on no account an "egg guy or woman" at the beginning, so i do no longer omit that for the time of any respect. i've got baked some issues without eggs and it went only fantastic too. i did no longer ever experience stable once I had dairy :-/ so i desperate that the flavor wasn't nicely well worth the horrid gut soreness I have been given after ingesting it.     yes,im from upstate new york and i married a southern guy,we live in the south.cant get real italian cannoli's,and i miss them.15 years ago,there were no cannoli's at all,now we have them,but they have chocolate chips in the creamy centers,not candied fruit peel.every time i eat one,im sure my grandmother is turning in her grave.the choco chips are just too americanized-i prefer the traditional recipe.the slightly bitter fruit peel balanced the sweet flavor of the cannoli,giving it nuance and complexity.im a proud patriot in many ways,but to me-the chocolate chip is just pandering to a very american taste for one flavor-sweet-instead of something a bit more sophisticated.i love my country,but leave cannoli making to italian imports such as my grandmother!!!!!!! ps-type in "wisconsin cheese" or "door county cheese",maybe u will find it on sale by mail order on the web.

    yeah a Spanish salty cheese called quesillo Luckily I find this cheese in the Greeks stores.
