How do I get back the heads on the avatars instead of the full gray face in the square?

It used to have head and shoulders that was gray, but now it doesn't have them there. They are full squares with a kinda smiley face in it.

    I don't think you can get the others back.

    Yahoo decided to change them, or maybe they are just working on improving Yahoo and these are temporary.

    I have seen these before and then they switch them back.

    We have changed the default picture for those people who haven't chosen a photo or avatar.

    It looks like you have an avatar now (which looks great!) but if you decide not to display an avatar or photo you can only have the smiley face.

    Yes I preferred the old one too but there is no way to change it unfortunately.
