If I diet for six days a week, and pig out on one day, should I lose weight?
I heard of a diet where you eat less and healthy for a whole week but eat all you want on one day for that week and lose much more weight. Does this diet really work?
Also, I weigh 125 pounds and I'm a 5'3, I want to lose 10-15 pounds within a week. If the diet above doesn't work, can you suggest one that will be simple to follow.

ok, I'm a health professional let me help you out
You can lose 10-15 pounds in a week but most of what you would be losing is water weight, this is not healthy anyway, you want to lose fat, so I would shoot for a more realistic goal....also pounds are not an accurate way of knowing how good your diet is working, better just to go by the way you look and your inches around your waist and other areas.
The diet you describing is fine. Many Many health nuts, body builders, etc. you use this plan....it gives you something to look foward to. You will not have a problem with stretching your stomach and you probably wont be able to exactly pig out, because if your eating small amounts 6 times a week your stomach will tighten so on the day you want to pig out you will not be able to eat that much.
6 small meals a day, 2 servings of fruit 2 servings of veggies, some good carbs in the mourning like a healthy cereal and lean protien at night like boneless skinless chicken. No eating within 4 hours before bed.
GOOD LUCK

Ok.....first off, you're in great shape so I dunno why you wanna lose anymore weight.
Secondly, losing 10-15 pounds is bad. Really bad. And the only way to do it is through crash dieting. I know that from personal experience.
Thirdly, add exercise to dieting. The South Beach Diet proves you don't NEED to exercise to lose weight but combining both is the way to go.
Now, as for your initial question, yeah, you could lose weight that way. That's what I do.
I look at dieting like the MLB season. Its okay to lose a game here and there (eat bad) but what you want to do is consistently win (eat good).
Pure math will prove that the eating good days outweigh the eating bad days.
Good luck! =o)

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://tinyurl.im/aHMB5
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Certain types of food we eat condemn us to hunger and weight gain, processed foods take most of the blame. If you can change what you eat you'll lose weight effortlessly, but it's not easy to 'retrain' you body and mind. Convenience foods are not the types of food our bodies need - today's lifestyle doesn't give enough viable alternatives.
The Scarsdale Diet help change your diet and also includes a lifetime keep slim element. Check out this link for more info about the food types not to eat and the Scarsdale Diet http://www.scarsdale-diet.com/good-and-bad-carbs.h...

Yeah, if you diet six days a week of course it's okay to have one day to splurge. I wouldn't eat junk every minute of the day but the diet should definitely work as long as you're eating good those six days.

Thats the stupidest diet I have ever heard. Pigging out is only gona stretch your stomach and load you with carbs and calories. You would lost weight just eating diet foods, and drinking 3 litres of water a day, with LOTS of cardio. Portion your meals, it will shrink your stomach.

Twenty-eight pounds or less -- or you could kill yourself with an improper fast and loose 180. A water only fast ( which is a true fast ) is about two pounds per day or less. It may or may not show up on the scale the first few days. You may show nothing and on the fourth day register six pounds less. Please be advised that a fast takes double the time to finish. If you fast one week you should not resume a normal intake (healthy or not) for another seven days. If you fast two weeks it should be four weeks before you are back to eating three squares a day. Breaking the fast is more critical and harder than starting the fast and you can seriously injure yourself if you pig out, even at the end of a three day fast. To come off a two week fast with a normal intake of food is asking for serious pain, physical and possibly emotional trouble or shock. If you have the will power for two weeks why not do four four day fasts for a total loss of 32 pounds. You avoid the stage where you may become extremely weak and to resume eating is much easier and straight forward. After four days or under seven days break with fresh fruit for two or three meals; light soups the second day and the third day green vegetables. Then back on the eighth day to another four day fast and so on. Avoid milk as it may cause bloat or go with a little goats milk the second or third day On your plan I think you will show a loss of no less than 19 pounds even if you do not exercise. It could be as much as 28 pounds. If you get down to a your proper weight in a fast, and take the full time to come off the fast, you will not gain back a lot of extra weight, especially if your water intake is good and your body Ph is in balance. Good luck, study up on fasting and be kind to your stomach. Two week breakin following two week fast:::::: if you insist. . On the 15th day, at your end weight, I would have an intake of about four liters of pure water (daily) with at most three tablespoons of apple juice or other fresh juices (morning, noon and night with water). Day 16 I go with tablespoons of grapefruit or orange juice (morning, noon and night). The addition of sauerkraut juice in day two, three or four will help. Fresh tomato juice with no seeds is also an option. Day five you can go to grapes with no skin or seeds and grapefruit wedges. Maybe chew a tablespoon of raisins or trail mix real fine Days six, seven and eight more fresh fruits of various types. Chew very well. Days nine, ten, eleven, variety of light soups. Days twelve, thirteen and fourteen green veggies and slowly back to healthy diet.

losing 10-15 pounds isn't only very unsafe, its not very likely to happen. I would suggest eating less and healthy 7 days a week and working out about 5 days a week. you shouldnt splurge and eat whatever that one day because you will screw up your whole week. I lost 5 pounds in a week by eating healthy and working out. Another thing, dont eat after 6. and avoid sat. fat. good luck!
