We are going on a road trip from Alabama to Arizona and we want to camp.?
We are going on a trip and want to camp along the way. Has any one went camping (in a tent) through Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, or Arizona. Can any one recommend any good camping spots? And how much does it usually cost to camp?

My husband and I have camped out several times at Sardis Lake, in the southeastern part of Oklahoma. It's not far from Clayton, and I think it costs around $11 a night. I'm not sure, I know they were going to raise the prices, but don't know if they did. I haven't got to go in about 2 years.
The area down there is beautiful, it's on the western tip of the Ouachita Mountain Range. There is even a trail that you can drive through if you've never been this way. It's called The Talamena Drive and starts in Talahina, Oklahoma and ends in Arkansas
Talihina is the Village between the mountains, with the Kiamichi Mountains to the South and the Winding Stair Mountains to the North and the Potato Hills to the west. Talihina is also known as the Gateway to the Beautiful Talimena Scenic Drive and the Quachita National Forest. Several lakes, rivers, and streams, camping facilities, equestrian camps, hiking trails, are in close proximity to Talihina offering various outdoor activities.
I hope this helps. Have a safe and fun trip. :)

check out the state parks from point a to point b most of them offer tent camping with a bath house for like 12.00 a night plus you get full access to the state park in some cases means swimming fishing hiking canoe rentals and old forts also some of they have washers and dryers if you find one you like you to need to book now
