  • My female cat is upset with my male cat after taking him to the vet, what do I do?

Ok, This is what happened. My male cat had a big bump come up on his stomach, I was afraid it was a tumor. I took him to the vet yesterday, and found out it was a wolf spider bite. They gave him an antibiotic shot, then lanced it open to let it drain. I was told to keep him isolated because of the drainage so it wouldn't get all over the house. We kept him in a bathroom all night. I let him out this morning, and my female cat just wanted to fight him. Do you think she could be smelling the infection in his system? Do you think she'll get used to him again?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated...Thanks:)

  • What would you do about this? Loud music, having to ask to lower it every day, several times?

We live across the street from what use to be a very nice young man. Well, he isn't so nice any more. He got a car a few months ago, added a bass system to it, and now LOVES to play it so loud, our floor boards shake all the time. We at first called the cops. We were laughed at in this little hick town. Well, we decided to ask them to start turning it down. I hate having to ask for them to turn in down all the time. This is our house. We paid for it, moving is NOT an option, and we feel like OUR rights have been violated, because we now HAVE to ask them several times to turn it down so we can rest. My husband did consult with a local officer during the day hours, and was told we could start filing compaints about it with the city code, but that hasn't worked out so far. They're still doing it! This isn't fair. Do you think our rights have been violated? We really feel like prisoners here...........we don't know what else we can do!!!!

  • Sad day for Guiding Light fans everywhere?

Hi everyone......especially all you Guiding Light fans. It's a sad day for us. The longest running Soap opera is leaving. I feel like a part of me is leaving to.

My mom said she used to sit me in front of Guiding Light in the afternoons after my nap, because it calmed me down. Every time she tried turning the channels, I got angry and cried. So, I guess I've been hooked my whole life.

My mom used to listen to it on the radio with her mother, I watched it with my mom, and my daughter watched it with me.

Irna Phillips did a wonderful thing back in the day. I'm truly going to miss this amazing, brilliant LIGHT in my life.

God bless all the terrific cast and crew, and THANK YOU for many many hours of entertainment. You may be gone, but NOT forgotten! Thank you, again

Does anyone else have anything to say?

  • Why would brother and sister cats fight?

Ok, I have two cats, brother and sister. They have fought in the past. It hasn't happened very often. It seems to happen when one of them get frightened by something. Tonight, it was my fault. I was outside watering some plants, and accidentally squirted the front door. I guess my boy cat was asleep, because before I knew it, he was at the door hissing and growling. Now, he's in another room, and my girl cat is out here with me. She's fine, but he still seems to be a little upset. Why do brother and sister cats like to fight each other? And....Do you think they fight because they get frightened? Is there any way to stop them from doing this? Like I said it doesn't happen often, but always happens at the worst time for me...(when I'm sick or very tired).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

  • I have a question about Jon & Kate Plus 8?

I don't watch the show. I only know about it from my mom who loves it. Does anyone know if they're coming back for another season next year? Or, is this the end of it???

My mom asked me, and I don't know what to tell her(she's 600 miles away from me). I told her I'd find out something if I could.

Thanks to anyone who answers. :)

  • Do you have a good Peanut Butter Ball cookie recipe?

I'm looking for a Peanut Butter Ball Cookie recipe. I've looked online, and nothing they have is really what I'm looking for. My mom used to make them when I was a kid,(that was many years ago). She has lost the recipe that she used, and I can't really find one like it. I'm asking serious bakers for their help. I want a good recipe, that doesn't fall apart or is too greasy.

Does anyone have a GOOD (maybe even great) Peanut Butter Ball Cookie recipe?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been telling my husband about them for years, and he'd like to try some.

    Thanks. :)

  • Fun things to do in North Carolina?

I'm going to North Carolina next week to see my granddaughters, whom I haven't seen in almost a year. Even though I know I'm going to enjoy just being with them, I was wondering if there are any fun things for toddlers (ages 4 & 2) to do around Raleigh, Durham or Fayetteville?

If anyone could help me, I'd be very grateful. :)

  • Does anyone know what punishment a parent might get for truancy in Texas?

My sister and her husband have been charged because they've allowed their son to stay home a lot during the school year. Well, they've actually allowed it for the past 3 years. He's in 4th grade, and the school district has filed charges against the parents for keeping him home so much.

He's not a sickly boy, he's fine. He just doesn't always want to go to school, so they just let him stay home. They did it with another of their children, but she's since quit school, so they don't have that one to worry about any more.

But, I was wondering, if anyone out there knows what kind of punishment my sister and her husband could be facing?

My daughter attended school, all the time, so I don't know anything about truancy. Been looking online, but I can't find what I'm really looking for.

    Thanks a lot. :)

  • Tax Rebates?

is anyone else having problems understanding these tax rebates? I just read online that we have to pay these things back next year on the 2008 taxes. It sounds like they're going to subtract the amount we get this year from the refunds we might be getting next year, which would mean we get a lot less back next year? Has anyone else read this? Can someone help me understand what the IRS is going to be doing with taxes next year?

  • Baseball Fans????

Has anyone other than myself ever wondered if some of these people asking questions are really baseball fans? Think about it, someone just types things like "NYY love or hate??", "Don't you just hate the Red Sox??", "NYY and Detroit don't you hate them??" For some reason I just get the feeling that people want to stir up feelings, and make people argue. Does anyone out there agree with me?

(I know there are real fans out there - you're the ones who actually know your team and know the game, so I am NOT talking about you).

  • My doorbell just rang at almost 1am???

I was just sitting here, reading some questions, and my doorbell rang. I called my husband, and he said he didn't send anyone over. He's at work, just about to get off work. I'm alone, and I won't answer the door. Would you answer if you were alone?

  • What's going on with Braves baseball after this year?

I know after this year, the Braves won't be broadcast exclusively by TBS because of their deal to show a game on Sundays and the playoffs. What's going to happen to the Braves? Is anyone airing their games, besides ESPN occasionally? (this is a serious question, I don't need snide comments) Thanks!!!

  • boy cat was neutered, now sister hisses at him???????????

Yesterday, I had my male cat neutered. His sister cried all night for him, and I know she missed him. Today, I brought him home from the clinic, and now all she wants to do is hiss and growl at him. Why? Should I keep them separated for a while, or just leave them alone? This is driving me crazy. If anyone has been through this, please help!!?? Thank you

  • I have the blues today.....?

I took my tomcat in today to have him neutered. The vet said I could pick him up this evening. Well, when I called, they said they'd have to keep him because he is still too groggy to come home. Needless to say, it's very quiet here. He usually follows me and MEOWS very loudly at me until I pay attention to him. He's usually my entertainment along with his sister in the evening. They're quite funny together, and now she and I both have the blues. Can you tell me something funny to cheer me up? Thank you, in advance!!

  • question about noise and neighbors......?

I have a neighbor that I don't know, and he's always playing his music very loud. Today I've been fighting a very bad migraine, and he started again with his music...(to me right now all it is is noise). I went outside walking around in my yard to make sure it was this particular neighbor, and I didn't say one word to him, but he told me to kiss his....... What would you do? Would you call the police, or let it go? And he still has that noise up very loud! What would you do?
