    Since there is no "and," between the words, there are no numbers to the left of the decimal point except zero, which is optional. The "th" in thousandths indicates that the number is to the right of the decimal point. According to what is written, the number 705 should be written so that it ends in the thousandths place.

    Source(s): I'm saddened by the answers I'm seeing. I'm a math professor, and according to the problem, my answer is the only correct one out of the 5 submitted so far. Try typing the question without the question mark into google and/or looking it up in Wikipedia.

    Your fraction answer is correct but can be simplified (or reduced). However, your decimal answer 0.00705 is seven hundred five hundred-thousandths, not seven hundred five thousandths. Elaine's answer is correct.
