  • Physics Poewr problem?

When a single engine planes engine is at full power of 76kW, it gains altitude at 2.6m/s. The mass of the plane is 710kg. What fraction of the poewr is being used to make the plane climb. (The rest of the power overcomes the air resistance and inefficiencies in the prop and engine)

Please explain the equations as well, not just an answer. Thanks.

  • How long does it take?

An ball is dropped from 6.0m above the ground. This means that the initial velocity is 0m/s. Ignoring air resistance, how long does it take before it hits the ground? What is the formula to figure this out too please. I want to know how to figure it out, not just the answer. Thanks.

  • How long does it spend in the air?

An arrow is shot at an angle of 45 degrees above the ground. The arrow hits a target at the same level above the ground as it was shot from 220 m away. ( delta y = 0) Use 9.8m/sec for gravity. How long is the arrow in the air?

  • What are the products when you add heat to NaClO (s)?

Is this a decomposition reaction that breaks down into Na+ and ClO-? Or does this break down further to Na Cl2(g) and O2(g)?

Note: O2 and Cl2 are diatomic gases.

    Of course this would make the original Bal Equation 2NaClO = 2Na(s) + Cl2(g) + O2(g).
