Sounds to me like it is dirty on the inside. Your computer has a built in failsafe that keeps it from booting up if the system is dirty. You might just need to take the side panel off and go to Walmart and get a can of compressed air. First unplug the computer. Then make sure you have touched the side of the case to remove any static that might be in your body. Then remove the side panel screws. Blow the computer case out then put the side panel back on. Plug it back in then start it up. Should be fine after this.

    Try starting in safe mode.

    1. Reboot, then at the first screen, press and hold F8. Choose safe mode from the list of options.

    2. Once in safe mode, click on system restore to restore your PC back to working state.

    Hi,

If you can boot into safe mode then try the last known good configuration before you try a system restore.

Have you got any anti-virus software installed as you may have a virus.

place the system disk that came with your computer into the drive or the operating system cd. now make your way through restoring the system i.e. system restore.
