Is the recent quazi-Populist approach of the Republican Party for real, or just show?

It's just for show. The Republican Party is every bit as corrupt and evil as the Democrats, and that's saying something! Remember the Patriot Act? Homeland Security Act? Oh, yeah. That's tyranny, but beforew the People catch on, so that when they DO catch on, there's nothing they can do, other than openly revolt.

It's just for show. The party is doing all it can to obstruct President Obama's policies to provide some help to the jobless and to the middle class. The GOP is out to protect the interests of the wealthy, as it has been for a long time.

in fact, by deciding that rush is their new leader, they have never been more upfront about their true feelings of what they are really all about.

The populist approach is being exhibited by the Democrats. That much is obvious. Seems you have an issue with projection.

If it's done so they can get elected it's definitely for show.
