I wrote this poem for my pet guinea pig that died and I want to show you guys?

Question

TOGETHER WE ONCE WERE-

Together we once were,
as happy as could be,
But luck soon fades,
including you and me.

I wish It couldn't be so,
although I know it's true,
And that the last thing that I said,
was ''I love you''.

The lives we shared together,
was so connected,
Now the hearts are fading,
and will soon be detected.

There will never be another guinea pig,
As soft and as sweet as you,
And I wish I had another chance,
To say much more than ''I love you''.

As time pushes us apart,
I will never forget,
The time we once had together,
Is now in debt.

When I see the sun setting,
I think of you,
But It's not the same,
As me being with you.

I know our time is up,
And I know It was short,
It's what nature does,
But I still wish for more.

I can see the sunlight fading,
Right before my eyes,
And when that time happens,
It's time to say Good bye!

That is really good! You'd make a great poet! I have 2 guinea pigs and one just got a tumor, I am going to expirience what your going through soon. =[. Yoiu know, if it makes you feel any better, there is a little baby guiena pig somewhere that is waiting for you to take it home. Try reading the book Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul. It was written to make people feel better, It is filled with stories of people who lost their pets. When my lizard died, I was so sad and felt so guilty (I don't know, it happens) And reading that made me forget about my loss, and feel bad for others. It really helps.

Ohhh I am SO sorry. I just lost my guinea pig Piglet too. This made me think of her and I feel your pain. They're such lovely little critters. I hope your heart heals soon and know that Pip loved you and will see you when you get to the Rainbow Bridge.

i think this is heart warming!!! u are a great guinea pig owner who loves and respects their animals!!! i have two pigs of my own!!! and i love them to bits!! i can see where your coming from!! this poem is really sweet! i feel like crying! awe!!!!!!!!!!!! but ur pigg can hear you and really knows u love its sole! move on now as you said and get ur self a nice new pig!!! a new life is born even though u will never forget!!!!!
