Multi-cultural dating?

OK. I'm married to a man who is 1/2 asian, 1/2 white. I am a rocker chick and I dress all sorts of different ways depending on the day. One day someone might look and think i'm some type of crazed psycho because I have a half-sleeve on my arm and wearing beat up Chuck Taylors and whatever else I decide, and another day, i'll have on something from work - like a fitted botton down collared shirt with slacks (very conservative). Mind you, i'm college educated and professionally employed but if you saw me out and about 7/10 you'd think I was a part of a more "eccentric" crowd (which I am). Well, I'm actually friends with people in many different scenes but that's another story.

Get what i'm saying. Now, I know kind of what you mean but I think this has more to do with economics. I know a black guy who only dates white chicks and his women are always very classy and upscale. And I know a girl who only dates black guys and she's very girly and keeps herself looking nice.

In a upperclass setting, you'll see upperclass black/white couples, and you'll see just the same in other classes. Sometimes these people just happen to cross paths and you look and make assumptions.

I don't know but I'm white, married to a black man for 19 years...I am classy, normal weight and very non-gangster. But I'm a lot older...

However, I've noticed this trend too. If the white girls would just be themselves, it would be better for everyone. Now if it comes naturally, hey, who am I to say anything? But it is often forced and it's annoying when people try to be something they are not.

I think many people have a muddled idea of what somebody from another culture or race "acts" like and this is where some people try to emulate what they think is desired. many people fall into the stereotype when they start to see somebody from a different race.

And i don't think that just because a white girl goes with a black guy she loses care of her appearance or that "refined" black women see white guys. That is nonsense. Love is colour blind! (i'm mixed race by the way - Half black and half white x

That is non-conforming, though I dont believe there are biological problems. And if the two races go to war, whose sides do the kids take? Lets face it, its a racist world, without real reason to change

However, multicultural dating... I know two Aussies guys with brides actually FROM Russia and Phillipines who spoke little english initially.. I found it amusing that they could have anything in common at all..they kept having to talk in sign language and jibberish! Cuisine was another issue, though the Aussies were quite broadminded

I live in a country where there isn't much of a multicultur.. so I dont know..

I don't do interracial dating, but if two individuals wish to do it, then fine for them. It's nobody else's business.

As for the trend you've spotted, I must say that I've seen it as well.

with both of those scenarios i see both no matter if its black man white woman, white woman black man etc etc. Maybe its just where you live but where I live alot of multiracial couples look pretty refined

lol i agree. i think its because white men want the creme of the crop for black chicks. black men want a fatty (fat asz) usually accompanied by the rest of her body being fat aswell.

i notice trends in my city too but i dont pay it any mind. i think everyone is entitled to love who they want. race should be irrelevant when it comes to dating. and no one should date only one race especially if it is not their own.
