I want to get started in taking my ferrets to the hospitals to visit patients and help cheer up a few people. Also being that many people around here haven't seen a ferret in person. My 6 year old male is up to date on his shots, very calm tempered, and very sociable. I just dont know how to go about getting started. Is there a website I can register him at? Do I just talk straight to the hospital director? Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would really like to be able to visit childrens wards and such.

I have a 6 year old male who has a small eye problem called a floating lens (meaning the tendon on top and bottom which hold the iris up - the bottom ones have snapped). His lens can swing back and forth which makes some days seeing better then others. Just today I noticed that he started to run in circles toward the right. It is his RIGHT eye that has the lens problem. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this problem or know where i can read more about it?

I'm 26, slender and very tall (5'8") - I would like to update my wardrobe some. Most places i've shopped cater to the 16-20 crowd with cute little print tee-shirts and jeans that have holes big enough to stick my arm through. While other places have clothing that cater for the 40+ crowd. Is there a good place to shop ONLINE that has decent clothing at a very decent price - I refuse to pay $30.00 for a sweater!

My style is sweaters in a solid color or cute print (nothing showy or with childish designs), and blue jeans. Since summer is coming I will wear skirts or dresses that are modest but cute.

Now I really love my cat Jack (1 1/2 years old - neutured male), but he REALLY LOVES me. My boyfriend says when I'm gone he walks through the house and cries looking for me. When I play with our 4 year old male Tyger - he attacks Tyger. I was nuzzling with my boyfriend on the floor last night - Jack proceeded to run back and forth meowing trying to get my attention. In the process scratching my boyfriend across the forehead as he was jumping over him. Jack always has to be within 1 foot of me (literally). This cat is waaayyy to attached in my opinion that I can't get a moment's peace and quiet!

How do I break him of this? We live in an apartment and he's a strict inside kitty. I keep him on "content-um" drops which makes him feel like he's got a full belly - that way he will fall asleep. I hate to keep him drugged though (makes me feel like a bad mom)

I know there will be a lot of hate answers from this but I am looking for a genuine answer.

Where I live there is a lot of multi-cultural dating (mainly blacks and whites). Now I personally dont' have a problem with this - but have noticed a trend. When a couple is dating why is it:

White man / black woman: the woman seems to act more refined, dress dignified, and carry herself with an air of esteem

Black man / White woman: the woman seems that she no longer cares of her looks, the way she carries herself, or the way she presents herself to society (I have seen way too many white woman starting to turn 'gangster")

Can someone explain to me why this is? I'm basing my knowledge and it's nothing the guy has done (maybe yes - maybe no). These are just my observations.

I know this might sound like a "why-me" question, but I dont mean it as such. No matter what I have done in my life (college, leaving friends that weren't the best influence, trying my absolute best at the job I have) it never seems to be good enough. I know the issue is "dont do what makes them happy - do what makes you happy". Guess my problem is - no matter what i do everyone complains, but refuses to give me alternative options.

case in point: I want to go to school for graphic/multimedia design. Boyfriend talks to a guy at work for advice for me. Was told "if she can't draw now there is no reason she needs to invest in that career" (it's true my best drawings are ninja stick people). BF handed me java design book (i also thought about programming) and said that if I can't understand this beginner book - there was no reason for me to be a programmer b/c it only gets harder.

I'm just so fustrated!! no matter how hard i try, what i do, who i try to please - i always fall short. *hate to say it: but i kinda do understand why people just freak out and go skitzo in public*

I am all for a person being creative and really thinking outside the box. I was browsing a bit and found photo gallery about recent designs to hit the Paris runway. Some of them are visually stimulating and others ....well......... I couldnt' help but wonder - these are fashions that would never see the streets of New York or the tiny little town I live in.

So what are those designers paid for anyway? Far as I know the fashions are worn ONLY ONCE - which is on the runway. Anyone willing to tell me a bit more about the life of a "runway fashion designer"?

I was wondering if there is a bus line running from Shreveport, Louisiana to New Orleans, Louisiana that would allow pets (if kept in a carrier). We were fostering a ferret for a friend until she found a good place to live - she finally found a place. Only thing is she doesn't have a car and it's 5 hours one way to go deliver the ferret. I thought a good idea was to get a bus ticket so she could stay the weekend and visit and take the ferret back on the return trip.

Are there any bus lines that would make that long trip? and allow small animals if kept in a crate (ferret tops the scales at 2 lbs.) and held by the owner?

I tried greyhound but they said no pets - not even when I was explaining the circumstance.

I am on the earthen ring (RP) server and was running through Hinterlands. My character was "disabled" for PvP yet I was able to be attacked/killed by the Horde. I asked my boyfriend and he is also puzzled how this happened on a rp only server with pvp disabled. There was no challenge for a duel - simply victim of a random ganking *sigh*

Believe it or not there is a difference. I have the typical armpits. I shave but have the darkness from the hair (i'm a brunette - so the hair there is dark too). I use deodorant spray everyday which does cut down on the sweating.

I want those smooth, soft, flawless underarms that most women seem to have. I heard using DOVE deodorant can do that in 7 days (or so the ad says) but what are some ways I can change armpits to underarms?

I was wondering what an easy way to make my own cracker spread. I am currently using a parmesan and garlic spread (spreadable cheese with cream cheese) but cringe when thinking about the $4.00 price tag it came with - couldnt' resist it was a treat to myself. Can I make this at home cheaper? How would you mix it?

I know this question will probably start a religion argument, but after watching the history channel last night "heaven vs. hell" I couldnt' help but wonder:

If god knew we would falter and sin why did he even put the tree of knowledge in the garden of eden to begin with??

To me that seems a bit like putting a fresh choc. chip cookie in front of a 2 year old and saying "now don't eat this" and expecting it to still be there for years to come. Seems to me god was more the temptation then satan was. Human will is only so strong.....any serious explanations of "why" and not just "i'm going to burn in hell" answers please.

did a little browsing in target last night and noticed some very cute dark pink arm warmers. they had a hole that you slip your thumb through and came nearly to my elbow. I wanted to know though:

exactly how do you wear arm warmers? If you wear them with short sleeve shirts wouldn't' it be too warm outside for arm warmers if you can wear a short sleeve? but a sweater would defeat the purpose of arm warmers.

I would appreciate some advice or a picture of a girl wearing arm warmers - the ones i saw were really cute and I would like to get a pair.

I applied for the local college, and once again was denied financial aid. Before filling out the last of the paperwork I was told I was getting 5000$ in a pell grant (woo!) but 2 weeks later said my EFC was 20 points above (needed a 4442 had a 4462). I dont understand how it changed when I did nothing!

Guess my question would be this: everytime i apply for the pell grant (i fill out the fafsa online) it says I'm just above the EFC and can't be accepted. My W2 hasn't changed any. I can't afford to pay tuition every semester with rent, insurance, and household bills taking most of my check (i live alone and support myself). I also can not survive on part time or take a second job b/c of time. How can I overcome this obstacle and receive a pell grant?

what is the purpose of a chain letter? I know the ones "send this to 10 ppl and be blessed with good sex/money/etc..." . Are there people who actually buy into this? They are good for a laugh but who really honestly think that forwarding it to 20 friends can grant you a gift.

Lately I've had constant headaches - more like a pressure but not throbbing. I know stress can cause headaches and I know I have a bit of stress but I don't fret over it. Fix the problem - Move On!

Just I've been taking a lot of B.C. powder (one nearly everyday) and I'm wondering what's the bad effects this is having on my body. Sure it's getting rid of my headache but what of my liver? heart? blood vessels?

I know my car needs a tune up - but just recently I've noticed a high pitch whining noise (almost like a whistle) coming from the engine when I accelerate. It can clearly be heard from inside the car so it makes me think maybe it's under the dashboard?

I made unsalted mashed potatoes (instant and added extra milk so it was extra creamy), turned my back and noticed my ferret nose deep in it. Sneaky little thing! If i give him just a bite as big as my fingernail only occasionally (whenever i eat some which is about once a week) how bad is that bad for him?
