I can't recall the dates of all the jobs I've had in the past. Is there a way I can look it up online?

I'm completely drawing a blank here. I know where I've worked but I don't remember the approximate dates, like just month and year. The documents I had regarding these jobs were lost in a house fire. Is there a way to look up my employment history online? I'm not into calling these places personally, sounding like an idiot in asking them when I worked for them. Thanks in advance for any help.

Update:

I'm not looking for the specific dates. I can't even remember the months/years! lol

Please, no more solicitations. I'm not looking for an online job and I know how to get my credit report.

I have almost always provided just a month and year. The most important thing is that you provide the name of the company and a way to contact them (if that is possible). Then a prospective employer can call and say, "I have a few questions about Jane Smith who worked for your company in May of 2005..."

There isn't a public database of your employment history- sorry.

Once you have made your resume, make a couple extra copies. Or save them on your computer and update as needed.

**Sorry, I misunderstood what you said. I thought you meant you could not remember the specific dates, but just month and year. Good luck.

Month and year is PERFECTLY ok! No employer really cares about specific dates. I review hundreds of resumes and applications every year and I have NEVER turned someone down because they did not tell me the exact dates of past employment.

As of right now, that big database does not exist. About the closest you might be able to come is by pulling one of your free credit reports (http://www.annualcreditreport.com)/ - your credit history usually lists at least some of the places you have worked - but you can't be sure it has them all.
