Magic the Gathering: Elder Dragon Highlander-Norin?

What is EDH? It's an MTG variant!

Who is this Norin fellow?

http://beta.gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Detail...

I've decided to make a Norin the Wary based Magic the Gathering deck in EDH format (he's my general). This is mostly just to amuse myself. However, one look at Norin tells me that it won't be easy. I've already found Pandemonium and Confusion in the Ranks, but what other spells should I include to abuse this fellow? Practically any suggestions are welcome.

Update:

The combo with Pandemonium becomes better when you get Ronin Warclub and Obsidian Battle-Axe. Plus, Norin normally comes into play TWICE(!) in a round ^.^

    Gee,

First, EDH is a MTG variant. You play with exactly 100 cards including your general. Also, since it's highlander, you may only run 1 of any specific card in your deck besides basic lands (or mountains in your case). You may only have colors in your deck that are colors of the General, so in your case, mono red is all you can do. I think you found a great use for a general as his ability makes him impossible to deal with. I'm not sure how well this would work in red, but you would need something in red that would also increase the power of creatures that come into play. This would assist with the Pandemonium you wish to play. When it comes to red, you might want some mana excelleration in the form of seething song. You definitely want finishers and you can put in a lot of those. Disintegrate, Blaze, Banefire (which is excellent once x =>5), Molten Disaster (use the kicker, can't be countered). Volcanic Fallout would be good for weenies on the field. The only other way to abuse Norin is to not make him your general. You would want a General that is red and green or red and white, or some combination thereof so you can combine Pandemonium (if you find it in 99 cards) with Glorious Anthem or there is a green creature that states when other creatures come into play, they get +3/+3 until end of turn. But then you have to find Norin as well and get him on the field. Most people don't mind a 3-5 color general, which in your case might need to include something for tutoring, but if you can burn your opponent to death, what's it matter?

Good Luck as I can't think of much more.

I'm not sure Norin is abusable in EDH.

He's very difficult to kill because he blinks out of play so easily, but there really isn't much advantage to having him in play because he can't block, he can't attack, and his ability doesn't really benefit any other cards.

As you pointed out, he could combo with Pandemonium, but wouldn't it be better to simply have Sulfuric Vortex in play?

I'm sure there are better mono-red generals. I can't think of too many red legends off the top of my head, but Kiki-Jiki is at least one with a much better ability.

Your suggestions are distinctly plenty limited to Doubling Season (which will double the style of counters it comes into play with) or Gilder Bairn. Golder Bairn is suitable with Utopia Vow, which will help you double the counters for each 2 mana you have. different suggestions for Gilder Bairn enhancers could be Flame Fusillade, means of hearth, or Presence of Gond. notwithstanding if, you haven't any tutors availible in those colorings (a minimum of, for a useful value). i might recommend including diverse card drawing - Browbeat, Harmonize, Kavu Climber, Elvish Visionary, that form of ingredient.
