5 Purple Hearts, Is he a HERO?
My cousin received 5 in VN and a couple in Korea. His last was delivering beer for his troops as a CMsgt. Does this make him a hero or just taking care or his troops?
Seenit- I doubt you understand, he was not a Kerry. He passed 20 years ago due to agent orange cancer.

Of course he is. In fact he is so much above me I wouldn't even touch his shadow. I will and would salute that man.

It depends. Is he nominating himself or are others nominating him? To get a purple heart you have to be in combat. Did he sit on a nail, or while he was bringing in the beer, get hit by an IED? Getting the beer for his men shows he cares. Being there in combat makes him a hero. How many has he received since this war began?

both, anyone who serves honorably in the military is a hero no matter what your job.
