Is Eclipse going to be the final episode of the "Twilight" series?
Summit Entertainment has contracted Juan Antonio Bayona to direct "Eclipse", the third and final episode of the "Twilight" vampire trilogy.
A protégé of the great Guillermo del Toro, this Spanish director has already proven himself with the outstanding "The Orphanage" (2007). Considering his experience in the realms of horror and fantasy, we can look forward to a beautiful end to the saga begun by Catherine Hardwicke barely a year ago.
Before then, Chris Weitz will direct the second episode "New Moon", which is due for release on 20th November of this year.
Although each film has its own director, the actors will remain the same, with Robert Pattinson continuing in the lead role as the vampire Edward Cullen. "Eclipse" should see the light of day on 30th June 2010.

Is this true? =/
I know. . I know.
But, it seems like they're going to end the MOVIES with Eclipse.
Please read the whole thing :(
Ps. I've read the books, I know that the last one is Breaking Dawn -____- and Midnight Sun MIGHT be published, and I doubt that tbh =/

It's possible Eclipse isn't going to be the last movie. Summit did obtain the rights to ALL of the books, including Breaking Dawn. Robert Pattinson also stated in an interview that there were plans to make a film adaption of Breaking Dawn. SMeyer did put up on her website that if they do make the movie, it's going to have to be two, but Summit might condense it. I'm confident they're going to film all the books because it would leave an open end if they were to stop with Eclipse.
Edit: Note that the author of the article might not be that reliable. Be careful what you believe until you hear it directly from SMeyer or Summit Entertainment. I heard Reese Witherspoon was supposed to direct Eclipse, but apparently that was not true.

Juan Antonio Bayona will NOT direct New Moon. That's just another rumor. And Eclipse will NOT be the last film. If fans continue to support the Twilight Saga films then they WILL make Breaking Dawn.

MASH - no brainer- BJ's rock message to Hockeye...... thirtysomething (almost last episode)(yes, cheesy)....Gary's ghost at Ellyn's wedding China Beach Texas- soap opera from the 80's- Grant showing up on the plane surprising Rita or Reba on the plane as she was leaving OK that's 4 All made me cry and i am still in therapy.....looking at my choices makes me think i should not be in therapy for the shows ending but for actually watching and remembering the shows..

Let me be frank:
NOBODY in their right mind would make a movie out of BD. Seriously, there is no way a movie exec would look at that and go, "Oh, yes, I can so force Kristen Stewart to deliver a crazy mutant baby while her eyeballs pop and all the veins in her stomach start bleeding under her skin."
Plus, Robert Pattinson hates playing Edward Cullen, hates Stephenie Meyer, and is only contracted to play Edward through "Eclipse." All the money in the world couldn't force him to play the weirdo pimp that Edward turns into in BD!

Breaking Dawn is the last book. SM said that she MIGHT comtinue with it later on but she is happy with it now. Midnight Sun was going to be another series (edward's version series) but someone hacked into her computer and put the draft on the internet. SM said that she was too upset to continue with it now. You can check out the draft on her website!

no break of dawn is the last n the book series. i think if theyre gonna do eclipse that they might as well do all books. unless they incorperate brek of dawn and eclipse. but i doubt that bc it would be a long movie like titanic

Lol. Midnight Sun WILL be published. Not MIGHT.
The movies suck anyway. Even Stephanie Meyer does not like it. The books, on the other hand, is love :D

i dont know, i read somewhere that SM said it would be too hard to do breakign dawn because its so long and theres so much stuff that happens, and it would be too hard to do renesmee because computer graphics can only do so much but i dont think she said that it was a definate no though. sorry, that didnt answer your question at all.
oh yeah, and no one wants to watch kristen stewart deliver some mutant devil spawn and have her stomach ripped out.

YES! Ooh, I hope so! We don't need Breaking Dawn. That was the most godawful book I've ever read. Thank God!
