Creationists, why do birds have dormant teeth genes? DIDGODDOIT AGAIN.?
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/articl...
It seems that scientists have even re awoken this gene to produce birds with teeth.
bird embryos naturally have teeth early in development.
Isnt this proof that birds evolved from a toothed ancestor and not created by god?
Why would god make a bird with dormant teeth?
If it is not proof of evolution then what is it and how?
See you cant explain it any other way except evolution, therefore proving evolution.
and yet i still feel pity for all you retarts who cant follow basic logic.

This proves nothing at all. Chickens have the information necessary for producing both feathers and scales. Chicken feathers, as well claws, and scales are all a part of a multigene family. Ancestors of chickens had teeth and were eventually lost. The assertion that chicken ancestors were reptilian because of these teeth is an unfounded argument by assumption.
Evolution is not demonstrated by the fact that the ancestors of chickens had teeth and more than claiming that the ancestors of wingless beetles having wings proves that they are related to a butterfly. All it proves is that the ancestor of chickens was a chicken with teeth.

I know I'm wasting an answer here - but I'll take the 2 points anyways: Maybe DNA is like the tinker toys of creation - depending on what you want to happen, you tweak different parts of the DNA to make it happen - everything is made of DNA - or a lot of it - and different parts get turned on and off to make the individual creations.... I'd also point out - evolution is a theory - it can't be proven as the origin of life - it's called an "abductive method" - look it up. It takes as much or more faith to believe that evolution is the origin of life as it does to believe that God created everything. Be careful when you say "every" scientist agrees with something - it's just not true. You clearly don't have much experience with the sciences.

Your's is a good question that evolutionist need to answer. Why are the genes for unused modifications retained? In the evolutionist paradigm, they're retained for millions of years. Carried as dead weight, which is against the evolutionary theory. And bird teeth is one of millions of genes that can be switched on or off, through the workings of "epigenetics". The new branch of science. That has found that external catalyst switch on or off genes. Causing swift body modification, so animals can survive, with fast changing conditions.

Some, but not many, birds have teeth. That is proof that some, but not many, birds have teeth. That does not support evolution.
Jesus was right. Some people strain at gnats and swallow camels. Some birds have teeth genes and that is proof that they slowly evolved that way over millions of years. That is like me claiming to be an expert on the Japanese culture because I watched thirty minutes of Shogun on TV.
Your logic is appalling. You don't know why God made something a certain way, so you conclude that it evolved.
EDIT
If you think my logic is faulty and that I am a "retart", then you will have to back up that claim. What kind of logic do I not understand? Which fallacies am I committing? You can't just call someone stupid and walk off.

I am a creationist, but I do believe in SOME form of evolution.
It is clear that humans have changed over time. Do I think that humans developed from Monkeys? absolutely not.
Or that Dinosaurse magically turned into birds? that makes me laugh
but Humans are taller now due do dietary changes, we have useless organs that were once used to process other foods such as the appendix. The birds of the Galapagos islands (Dawin study) showed that the birds beaks and sizes were differnt to adapt to different foods found on those islands. So with your bird with teeth theory, their teeth changed due to dietary changes.
No creationsist will tell you that the world has never changed or an animal can not adapt to its enviornment....its actually a great skill that God has given to his creatures, the ability to prosper.
But looking at Darwins studies are interesting because while physical characteristics are different in each of the birds, the general DNA of a spiecies has not changed. So how did these toothless birds develope a completely different DNA from the creature they "evolved" from? How do monkeys and humans not have nearly identical DNA?
I think toothless birds with dorman teeth genes actually is MORE proof that God DOES exists.....untill you can scientifically PROVE that this animal has spawned from a completely seperate spiecies which as of today is impossible hence it being the THEORY of evolution and not the FACT of evolution, your not really going to convince a creationist of your half assed attempt at disproving God
Edit: Just to make it clear I don't believe in Darwins "Theory of Evolution" which states that one creature can ultimately turn into another but I do believe in the ability to "evolve" or to adapt to ones surroundings which is a completely different belief as explained above

It is proof that birds evolved, yes. But, it is NOT proof that God didn't do it. I am not a creationist, not by a long shot, but I don't believe that science and God are mutually exclusive.
Thank you in advance for your thumbs down.
EDIT - Retarts? What's that, some new kind of sweet tart? You can't even spell.

I disagree wthat evolution is the ONLY way to explain them. Some birds have teeth...some do not. Some birds have scales on their legs as well as feathers. Let's move on to hollow bones in birds, the preening gland, the flow-through lung in birds, cold-bloodedness to warm-bloodedness, different muscles and bone structure for flight, specific variations and patterns of feathers for flight, the eqilateral molting process, navigational and migratory properties of birds, the perching muscles and structure in their feet, etc...there is a host of requirements of evolutionary changes which had to have occurred to enable birds to fly, navigate, migrate and maintain themselves.
Simply pointing out a few common features does not fully answer the whole range of problems of evolving a reptile to a bird..
And, a hypothetical, plausible explanation of evolutionary changes does not necessarily preclude it as being evidence of a creation paradigm. The same evidence used to show evolutionary changes which could have occurred could also be interpreted as intelligently designed features....God's built in genetic variability to allow creatures to adapt to changing conditions and environments on earth..

Maybe this god worries about them being attacked in the eggs, but once they are born he doesn't care who eats them.
That is the general anti-choice stance I see here anyways.
