A 95 Acura Integra???????????????????????????

I just bought a 95 Acura Integra about a week ago and It was working fine and stuff. Now the break lights and the Shifter wont work unless I put a key in the Shift lock release. I know that the Horn , Break lights and the Shifter are all on the same fuse and all but we have checked all the fuses and they are still good. So now what else could be making them both not work and by the way the Horn still works.????

its your brake light sensor switch....its under the dash behind the pedal....it must be worn out or disconnected....this is whats causing your brake lights not to work and the automatic tranny doesnt sense you stepping on it so it doesnt move either.....

tried to search for some sites to help you out but nothing really pops up...but found one that shows how it looks like even though they had a different problem..

Integra... handbook inventory because of the fact the Integra is Lite, the vehicle'sbody isn't obese the Eclipse is seen obese. And the Ls B-18 is a marvelous breed of jap engineering.decide for the Integra while youcontinual a Honda/air of secret your a different breed of individual.Eclipse seems very sporty however the Integra seems trouble-free the engine isn't complicated and yet its a alright tuned DOHC engine..decide for AN ACURA acceptable Motoring

Maybe there's something wrong with the wiring in the shift lock release. The wires could've came loose or someone spilled something on it. If there's a pair of wires coming from under the shift lock, unplug them and touch them together manually. If everything works, then there's your problem. Other than that it's one of those strange one in a million problems that you had the bad luck of getting.
