Why do the Red Sox own Mariano Rivera?

At Fenway i don't think he has *ever* had a save, we get to him every time

EDIT:: I known Mariano is great, but saying ONLY six blown saves isn't the best. That means he blows a save at Fenway more than 20% of the time. That's not considered the best reliever of all-time standars, but anyways, he is the best closer of all-time.

I'm a huge Red Sox fan, but ummm...

Mariano has 28 saves and 2.63 era at Fenway Park.

However, he has blown more saves (6) at Fenway than any other ballpark (with the exception of Yankee Stadium.

"WE", when did YOU ever pick up a bat against Mariano Rivera?

You are a joke, the guy has had much more success than failure against the Red Sox, but because of 2004, Red Sox fans only remember his blown saves.

You obviously haven't stopped to consider that the Red Sox have been seeing Rivera probably 10 times a year over the past 13 seasons, he's not that much of a mystery to them anymore. Papelbon dominates everyone, but the Yankees seem to get to HIM at least a couple of times a season. When you see a guy many times, you get familiar with him.I hardly think the Red Sox own Mariano Rivera. When it is all said and done, Papelbon won't have nearly the longevity or stats Mariano has.

easily, I gotta have faith that Mariano Rivera purely have been given burned by using seize potential hitting. actual, i'm a purple Sox fan and enjoyed each and every minute of that blown shop, yet I would desire to call this one because it somewhat is. Yankee followers would desire to pay close interest to the flaw of their equipment, the bullpen. quite of letting Bruney or E. Ramirez close the eighth, they attempt and stretch Rivera almost 2 innings because of the fact the bullpen has been suspect thus far this season. Now Rivera is maximum probable no longer available for sport 2 of the sequence. i'm no longer likely to verify too into this and say Rivera has been owned by using the Sox considering's no longer actual. he's had alot of excellent video games against us and a few undesirable ones. once you play a branch rival as lots and those 2, you're gonna get a dash or alot of the two. Mariano purely did no longer have his maximum suitable pitches on the mound final evening and he have been given caught. no longer something we've not seen from the different closer in the sport at present.

Rivera went 2-0, 3 saves against the Red Sox last season.

EDIT: two of those three saves was at Fenway park.

Mariano has a career 2.63 ERA with 28 saves including 2 holds with only 6 blown saves in his career at Fenway. He has been pretty darn good.
