Questions and answers pertain to Yahoo! Answers. That service isn't closing, so there's no need to worry about that.

Yahoo! has said that they will transfer your blog components to the Yahoo! Profile in some way. Again, read old and new blogs at http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 and http://www.yprofileblog.com/ for more details. The 360 team blog is also accessible via the "Yahoo! 360 News" link in the upper right corner of your 360 space.

Nothing is guaranteed online that you don't completely control yourself, by the way.

Yet if you still want to make a backup of your 360 blogs:

There is no built-in transfer tool for 360, so you will have to do it manually - one piece of content at a time. A few services - like Multiply (http://multiply.com/ ) - have a 360 transfer tool if you want to use their blogging components. However, some people have reported that not all of their blog entries transferred. Some people use Multiply exclusively; others use it for back up.

The manual transfer will be time consuming if you have a lot of content. You can do screenshots or do File > Save Page As through your browser, but that won't help much if you plan to move to another blogging service.

    - Click the "Edit" link on your blog entry.

    - Click the "View HTML Source" box on the right side of your entry's toolbar. Select all that is there. Click Ctrl+C on your keyboard, OR right-click to choose "Copy," OR go to your browser's Edit menu to choose copy. Paste the code into text document (Notepad, Wordpad, or Textpad). Save the document. Make sure to include the subject heading, tag, comments and post dates of the entries. If you want to use Microsoft Word, save the document as a text file to prevent unnecessary code from being added by the program.

    - Alternatively, you can avoid copying the code by not clicking the "View HTML Source" box and just copying what's there, which is the text of your entry. However, if you have video, links, or images embedded in the text, you will have to manually add them back later, if the worst should happen.

    - Any images uploaded to your entries via the upload tool above the "Entry Content" area, you should make sure are downloaded and saved to your computer OR better yet burned to a CD or some type of external hard drive (along with your text or Microsoft Word files). If you save the image, you may want to make the title the date of the blog entry that it belongs to. You can open up images you've loaded to 360 to their full view, then right-click on them and choose "Save Image As" to save them.

    - If you have an extensive Blogroll like I do, you will have to copy & paste the link titles and URLs into a document as well.

    - Yes, this will take time to do, especially if you have a lot of entries. There are paid services that will create a permanent book of your blog, but that will not help you if you're trying to transfer it to another platform.

Personally, I make a text file for each of my blog entries. I've decided not to save comments, tags, and other extraneous content besides pictures.

in case your weblog is that major, reproduction/paste it right into a textual content dossier saved in your pc you'll be able to store webpages in your rough force (a minimum of you'll be able to with firefox. i have not attempted the others). click on "dossier" then "store web page as" to your contacts, message them and get their e mail/messy/myspace/fb addys so you'll be able to keep in contact not anything has ever been risk-free on-line and, in reply in your final query.....the whole thing that has a starting has an finish. take measures to hold what you importance so it may live to tell the tale after
