Hamster wheel? Bathing sand?
I have had my russian dwarf for about 2 weeks now and her fur is slightly grubby. She isnt sick or anything as she maintains her normal activities and eating habits. I was wondering if i should just let it go or if i should look into the chinchilla sand.
Also, I bought a Hartz play city extreme and the wheel is a pain in the neck to clean. Are there other wheels that will fit on it (the wheel is external)?

Hi there---
I wouldn't recommend putting her in the sand, remember these are designed for chinchillas. If you have too i recommend you to damp a tissue and then to gently touch it's fur with it.
As for the wheel silent spinners which come with a stand.

you can use normal sand but not sharp sand it should be the soft sort.

i dnt know where to get an external 1 from as i don't think you get them if it is outside, otherwise i think you should get this one, it comes with a stand and you just put it inside the cage, comes in many Colours and don't make a noise when is in use by the hamster.
hope this helped.
