They were forced to do it. He was not going to make the team and they could not send him to the minors. The only other option was to let him become a free agent. At least this way they got something for him.

No big deal here, not like it is that amazing or breaking news. Most people would probably ask you who Josh Anderson is.
One thing that might help you to get people to answer your question is to actually post the trade in your question. Just a thought.

They got a great pitcher-Rudy Darrow..once again Dave Dombrowski has traded a good pitcher to the Braves-Jair Jurrjens last year....we'll be known as chumps for trading good young arms for mediocre players.
