sky hd picture size problems?

i have just had sky hd installed, all normal channels are fine and most of the hd channels, however, when i put sky 1 or channel 4 hd on the picture size shrinks down to leave huge black lines around the picture, has any1 else had this and if so how did you fix it?

Try this;

Can you set the sky box so "scart control" is turned off, and see if that helps?
