What advice do you have for me?

Alright, I am a 22 year old guy that is wanting to take a 24 year old girl out on a date. We are both in class and I got her number to be partners on an assignment. She is a very pretty, nice, and really smart girl that makes me laugh throughout class. She texts on her phone a lot so I decided to send her a text over the weekend. I asked her if she had any plans for this weekend and she said she had no idea what she was going to be doing. Then I go ahead and send, "well if you don't have any plans, I would love to take you out and get something to eat or go have some drinks." Then I get a response "that sounds great, but I told my roommate I would watch movies with her. Maybe some other time :)" I plan on just going about my business as usual and seeing if she ever calls or wants to do something. Do you think that is the best way to handle it?

Sit back and watch for any hints or signals she gives in case she acts interested. You're doing the right thing by going about your business for now. The time without hanging out gives her something to think about since she declined the invitation. Keep the mystery alive, she may notice soon enough.

At least you have a cool partner and friend if nothing else. Good luck!

  • Yep, I think you got it under control, but if she doesn't get back to you say to her something like: Hey, you got any time now for a meal or drinks its been a while since I asked you last, come on its a few hours out ini. Just say something like that i suppose lol. Hope I helped.
