Yup, it is taking some time...

And somebody reported me for a violation on a very simple question. They said they'd answer back within 48 hours, and that's come and gone.

This has been an ongoing problem with me for at least 6 months.

Occasionally, I am able to exchange half a dozen pieces of mail, and then all of a sudden, everything goes silent, and remains that way for weeks.

Not only does this happen with Yahoo! Answers mail, it happens with my regular Yahoo! mail. I don't know how to fix it --everything I've tried has failed.

Also, I no longer receive violation notices, Best Answer alerts, word of new contacts, etc. I am only aware of these things if I happen to notice a difference in points, or check fans/contacts.

I've finally closed off mail entirely due to what I am certain are hard feelings developing among people who (I hope) still consider me a friend.

I have no advice on how to fix it. Just letting you know that you are not alone in this.

That would a definite YEPPERS here......

I even missed a BA due to the fact that I sent an email to an asker and it took 4 days for the system to get it to me.......

And I've had a LOT of trouble with even sending from my email acct as well.........

I'm getting mail but not until hours after it's sent. Like contact posts...grrrr

Mine have been late. I think I am getting most of them, unless I am not aware of missing mail.

I am always having problems...

but it is easier to deal with laughter

I was having trouble yesterday opening my mail...but today I am getting my emails....

not that I know of, or at very least my contacts are calling me names in answers because I didnt email them back

Yes, they just dont care about use out here.
