What are some good vitamins for me?

I am 29 y/o wife and mother of two. I have a full time and a part time job. I would like to have more energy to do the things I want to do around the house and start exercising. I am 5'4" and 160-170 lbs. What are some good vitamins to take for more energy and to aid in losing weight?

    The short answer:

    B vitamins.

    The long answer:

It is better to get your vitamins from actual food, nutritional science has come a long way but we have so much further to go and we very likely have overlooked or not found certain elements of WHOLE foods which obviously would not be included in today's supplements.

To give you an example, omega 3 was overlooked for so long and was NOT included in baby formula until recently. The consequences being lower IQ scores compared to infants fed on modern formula which includes omega 3s.

Obviously taking vitamins will help, but not to the extent that WHOLE foods will.

Whole foods are anything that doesn't require a ingredients list.

As for weight loss, imagine a whole foods diet as the defense and the exercise as the offense. Whole foods will help you NOT put anymore weight on, and exercise will help GET RID of excess weight.

Exercise will also release endorphins (blissful feelings) and consequently more energy. Sounds like a paradox I know but the more you exercise the more energetic you feel.

    Hope this helps.

Here' s what helps me out a lot.

Caffeine (Coffee) - very limited quantities.

Chromium Picolinate (Helps convert carbs to energy/ stabalizes blood sugar)

    L-Carnatine (natural fat burner)

    B-12 (aids with digestion,metalbolism,energy)

Collogen Pills- (good for keeping your skin young, hair and, losing weight!!!)

Multi-Vitamins - (Help burn calories and maintain a healthy weight)

Extra dose of Magnesium (helps convert calories and carbs to energy) and Calcium/Vitamin D (Helps reduce stress and good for your bones. Vitamin D also helps with mood).

    Also:

I take iron and potassium supplements. But you have to take extra precaution when taking these. An overdose can be extremely dangerous.

Potassium: aids with maintaining healthy water levels.

Iron: Aids me with not losing my hair when I'm trying to lose weight. Also women tend to have lower iron levels cause of menstruation. Low iron levels can make you feel tired.

Stay away from diet pills by all means it will only make your problems worse. Watch your calories. That's all you have to do. It's very simple. No diets! Eat whatever you want. Shoot for 1200 calories a day for fast and best results. No more than 1400 calories a day. If your going to eat more than 1200 calories a day, make sure you do some kind of excercise. It doesn't have to be anything difficult or time consuming. I usually just go window shopping! I park far. I walk around my favorite stores really fast. Sometimes I pick up heavy merchandise and use that as "free" weights. If you stick to 1200 calories you really don't have to excercise.

    Good Luck!

You will excrete vitamins from supplements, unless you have a deficiency, and will waste your money. If you really want more energy try exercising.

i does no longer evaluate diet Water a alternative. you will ought to drink extra diet water as your hydration source because of the fact the water is bonded to synthetic flavorings, colorations, and so on. in case you fairly 'hate' water, attempt including lemon and/or lime to furnish it some style. yet filtered water is via far the terrific water you could drink.
