I am allergic to some metals-I think it's called allergic contact nickel dermetitis-?

Is there a remedy for it or am I stuck with it for the rest of my life? And how come it developed so late? I was ok with metals for a long time then one day i was reacting to everything from belt buckles to earrings...

Yes, it's called allergic contact dermatitis. Nickel is one of the most common metals for people to have sensitivities to.

People usually get the rash from costume jewelery that's made of these kinds of metals... some people even get it from deodorants (that contain aluminium and other metals), glasses, doorknobs, hairpins and money coins! Can you imagine when somebody gets an implant (contraceptives, pacemakers, stints etc) that contains any metal... and then they realise they're allergic to it? It causes some huge disasters in the medical world.

There isn't really any way to treat it other than avoiding wearing costume jewelery. There is one thing you could try though... say you have a metal ring, coat it in several layers of clear nail varnish. Then your skin won't be touching the metal. That works for some people.

The only allergy medicine that works for them is an entire cake and Mtn. Dew
