There's no such thing as mixed messages. If he likes you then he will do anything to show you that he does. The same goes for text messages, phone calls, emails.... if he wants to get hold of you, he will always manage it. But, there is such a thing as being shy and guys don't usually tell their friends delicate things like who they fancy. If they see him teasing, they'll think he doesn't like you. If he teases behind your back to them then he's not even worth thinking about.
