It must have been the Conficker virus. It was due to spread in the computer world on April 1st as an April Fool's prank. This virus is very harmful. It can even disable your Anti--virus and other security programs. But I don't think Myspace has this virus. As long as your Windows is updated and your Anti-virus is updated, then you don't have to worry about anything.
Hope I helped!

the myspace part is not true but the virus was. It happened the night before april fools. Many news programs even reported on it warning people to shut off there computers to attempt to avoid getting the virus. However I also read that many computers may already have it but whoever is doing it is waiting until after the news and public forget about it to actually activate it. Whether or not that part is true I'm not entirely sure.
Also in case you're wondering what the virus does it gives the people on the other end unlimited access to everything on your computer and everything you do on it. Including credit card numbers, passwords and other personal information.

Yes you can get a virus while on myspace. The best thing you can do is to install a security package on your computer that protects you from virus, spyware, pop up's etc... Many Internet Service Providers offer a security package for a few dollars a month and it's constantly updated.

Well for starters the April Fools virus "Conficker" as it was called, only hit you if you weren't updated from the patch in October. Not many people got hit. The Myspace Virus is the April Fools Virus. so whatever anyone says it is not true. Hope this help.

the first guy doesn't know what hes talking about don't listen to him. I assume you are referring to the conficker virus. that went online on april 1st and we are still waiting to see what it does. its very possible that myspace was used a distribution medium for it aswell. its been used for years to give viruses to unsuspecting and naive computer users through everything from pictures to comments. its very easy and the traffic on myspace makes it almost a guarentee that someone will get infected by it. and that (and many other technical reasons) IS WHY I DON"T HAVE ONE ALSO MY SHIFT KEY JUST LOCKED UP ON ME SO NOW I AM APPARANTLY YELLING AT YOU

Myspace is a big joke to me. Everyday it is something else with that damn site. I think we need to go to facebook and stay there. I Like myspace for layouts and design. I happen to like designing.

false they can carry viruses, myspace is littered with hackers, youse facebook its much more user friendly and there are no free roaming advertisments, almost 0 chance of getting hacked unless you open messages that are very obviously from a outside source. such as hey I saw a funny video of you here, or omg your pictures on this website....eople today are just dumb.
