Being fined for lying on medical information?
My husband "left out" his previous back issues and etc
and now his 1st SG is calling me saying that they are fining him 5,000?
There was some type of hearing? and that was his punishment?
What is this called, why didn't they tell me about it in December when it happened and do we have to pay this all at once?
no rude answers please
He is in the Army if that makes a diff.
He was being discharged but they fined him instead.
I don't know why they called me. I embarass him? I don't know but they called me. I do believe it is an article 15.

I'm surprised they only fined him. Normally they also take away a stripe. Why is your husband's 1st Sgt calling you? It is not his business to be telling you anything about this issue. It should be your husband that comes clean and tells you.
Did he get an Article 15? Sounds like it.
Check this site out that tells about Article 15s.

It will probably be a deduction per pay check, not all at once.
He didn't fess up to everything on his enlistment medical forms?
As per ICONER's answer, he shows a previous question from you mentioning that your husband got discharged. Evidently he is not being discharged and is only getting fined?

How did they even find out about his back problem? I've gone to the ER many times for being sick, gettin injured playing sports, etc. Im waiting to leave for the air force now. When i went to MEPS, my recruiter told me to keep my mouth shut about everything. Only the things i need like a cast or something for. So thats what i did. i didn't list every single thing. i hope i don't get in trouble later. I think the only way they can find out is if he actually hurt his back while in the army, or during training or something, then they did some digging and found out that he had already had pervious problems with his back.

Fraudulent enlistment, really...
If they wanted to, I believe they could put him in prison. He could even lose rank for it. He shouldn't have left anything out. They need to know everything for a reason.

Wait a minute. WHY is his first sgt calling YOU? It is your HUSBAND's responsibility to tell you, not his 1st sgt. I'd be interested to see your explanation.
