i heard it a loooooonnnnnggggggggg time ago it was about a little girl who was beat and she hid behind the couch and she saw Jesus and he took her with him a guy sang it and its a country song
maybe she saw her mom get beat or something great song and its been on my mind

I think I know the one you mean, but I'm sorry I can't think of the title.
"Her daddy drank all day, and mommy did drugs, never wanted to play, or give kisses or hugs. Til her dad, in a drunk rage one night, pulled a gun on her mom, and then took his life" Then it talks about how the little girl was adopted, and her new family took her to sunday school. "She said I know that man, up there on that cross, I don't know his name, but I know he got off" and she tells them that he was there with her when she was hiding behind the couch the night her parents died.
I don't know the title, but maybe somebody will recognize it from the lyrics and be able to tell you.
