If your stomach gets very big then most likely no. Stretch marks are the tissue bands of the skin that is stretched beyond the max. Once they appear, they don't go away. The collagen of the skin has been broken down therefore how can that be repaired. You can spend so much money trying to fix it but you only minimize the appearance but it will never go away. There are expensive procedures that really help with minimizing the appearance using laser but be ready to spend thousands.

I've heard that bio oil works to lessen stretch marks and keep you from getting as many, however, unfortunately, stretch marks are genetic. Yes, genetic. Whether you get them or not and their severity will depend mostly on your genes.
You CAN however, help your skin to stretch easier by applying liberal amounts of cocoa butter and the use of bio oil.

I used mid-priced high concentration cocoa butter...and lots of it. I mean like 4-5X a day. I didn't get ANY. But I've heard that it depends on the type of skin you have and hereditary stuff whether you get them or not. My friend told me she used cocoa butter too, but she still got them. I don't think she used enough. Cocoa butter is a remedy that comes from waaay back.....so how can it NOT work with s0oo many people saying that it does? It worked for me.

You can try to minimise them by applying creams, but as it is the deeper layers of the skin which 'tear' there isn't really any cream that will penetrate deep enough.
It is all down to genes and if you are one of the people who are prone to stretch marks, then you will get them, but as you say they do fade away to a silvery white in time.
There are some people who are very lucky and do not get them, they have the 'stretchy skin' gene!
( my friend.....grrrr) she has had 2 kids and not one stretch mark!
Don't worry about them, there are more of us ladies with them than without!

I agree.. Palmers cocoa butter (belly butter) is fantastic. worked well for me still got a few stretch marks though, nothing compared to my sister who used nothing though. I believe the bio oil is great too though and helps to fade existing scars and stretchmarks.

As in the above answers, yes there are creams that you can use, but if you are really wanting a baby badly enough, then once you have that tiny bundle of joy in your arms, a few stretch lines won't be the first thing on your mind....
