Has anyone else seen this explanation of the F1 2009 Diffusers?
I just watched the following "article" http://formula-one.speedtv.com/article/matchett-ma... about the 2009 diffusers.
What do you all think about that?
Does it change your mind about the legality (or illegality if you prefer) of the Braun, Williams, and Toyota diffusers?

Nope, i just feel Brawn GP, Toyota and Williams have shown engineering ingenuity while working within the rules.
They had the same regulations but expanded upon it while keeping to the letter of the law.
That guy certaintly went around the houses a bit though!

To me it further enhances my opinion that the other 7 teams that have gone 'conservative' have done just that, and seeing the imaginative and creative interpretations that the 3 protested teams are using, have decided that they should be punished for essentially outsmarting them.
This is not right, and the likes Colin Chapman and Mauro Forghieri would recoil in shock at the notion that F1 teams should be conservative and unimaginative in their pursuit of the best car. If you haven't built the best car, then work your ar**s off to catch those guys up, coz they have done nothing wrong.
It actually looks to me that the Brawn diffuser isn't actually that elaborate compared to Toyota and Williams. They have simply put a hole in the central section (without a top edge, which to me confirms it's height legality) and have used to control and stabilise the flow of air at the back of the car. Very simple, but very clever and it's showing on the track...

Wow Great Link!
I bet by Eropean GP's all teams will have something ready to go. I'm sure they have been working the windtunnel for weeks now just waiting for a court ruling.
If the court says it is good all teams will plug them on. If the court say no they are bad I wonder how badly the Toyota, Brawn and Williams will be hurt?

Ha, I did not know that following the rules was against the rules
I dont see the problem, if you want to win, you will do what it takes that is inside the rule book
These teams are just not using thier brains
Like they say, If you cant beat 'em, join 'em
