Best non-acidic exfoliating cream/treatment?

I used to have moderate acne, and still get some occasionally. I tried benzyl peroxide programs, took every precaution but all over-the-counter treatments just made my acne worse. I used to use a citric salicylic acid exfoliating scrub, but like I said, it just made my acne worse.

The only thing I found that works for me is simply rinsing my face with cool water twice a day, and it has worked great. I have an oily complexion so that may be why.

Anyway, after a little over a year without any acne, my face has become dry since I haven't used any of my old treatments.

So what exfoliating treatment can I use that doesn't contain any chemicals/acids? Please no retinoids either.

What would you recommend in my situation?

Any answers from someone who has had a similar problem (or same skin type) would be much appreciated.

I'm with you. The best thing that you can possibly do to treat the dry skin is this:

    1) Pour some salt (iodized or non- just not table salt) into a small bowl.

    2) Add a little bit of milk in with it and stir.

    3) Take a glob of PLAIN yogurt a mix it up too.

    4) Use your fingertips to gently spread the mixture onto your face.

    5) Continue to swirl it around for about two minutes.

    6) Before you wash it off, quickly scrub your entire face.

    7) Use warm water to wash it off, and don't use a towel to dry it. Let it sit there and be absorbed by your skin.

    8) splash your face with cold water and your done!

Hope this helps and have a great day! :)
