Believers: It is up to YOU! Is the plan not clear enough?

I read a bunch of answers a moment ago that suprised me.

Some people think that God or Jesus sends people to Hell, that it is up to Him. No it's not I say to you.

We are offered a gift of salvation of our souls because of what Christ did on the cross.

If we are willing to accept that and believe in it, that is great because Jesus said before he was crucified that there is no other way but through Him. That means you cant do it your own way, and trying to is denying his offering for the ride there. If you get the ticket via Jesus, you will be heaven bound. If you deny that ticket, what does that leave you? This is not The Father, Son or Holy Spirit's decision, It is our own. WE make the choice on where we are going, not God.

Update:

Kira, hold on. You are going to tell me you have never heard anything like that before? Just where are you from? And who is Mr. Madison?

Hey, if you want to deny it all, that's fine, but you don't have to answer your decision to me. I am not the party you will be answering to. I actually appreciated the insult though. LOL It was refreshing. I haven't been given a dose of that it probably 25 years. You're pretty good at it too! :- )

Serious!, that was cool.

Update 2:

The slink: I do so very much want to and will answer that excellent question you have. I can't do it here on this page though. Your email is blocked. Can you email me or unblock it? I was in the same position as you. I can explain it but I only have a few characters left to type here.

Thank you all for your answers. Anyone may always take liberty in contacting me . Kira you are talented and you made me laugh. My instict for some reason is telling me to hire you on for a career, but another thing says you will never come back to this page.

It's good to see, that you directed your post to only believers. Because, that means those who do not believe as you, are exempted from these various fates.

I certainly hope you don't mean everyone else given this gift, because if you think we all did, please, please explain how the American secular individual, who has never gone to church and read the bible(because that is alright in America) gets this choice? I never did, so I am exempt from this fate, right?

Oh, please answer and explain my question Petey.

Petey: No, answer here please. It should be a simple answer, since you made it a simple question, with a simple statement. So, it should be a simple answer. Nothing that is going to be wordy and then lost in translation, in which would not answer my question. If you have the answer, then answer it simply. You say everyone gets this gift. Everyone. Everyone? How? See? Simple. Now, answer it simply.

God never really created Hell. That was just a dwelling place for the Devil and Demons.

Yes, we make our own choice where we are going, but what the consequence of the choice you choose is created by God.

It's like a dish. The Host has served you different dishes. Pick the right dish and you'll be drowned in deliciousness.

BTW, those who do not believe in God, goes to a place where God creates , not Hell.

Actually the plan is not clear at all. It's scattered all over the Bible and requires a lot of creative cherry-picking to assemble.

The version of "salvation through grace" that you have cited here is only a few hundred years old. Before that people thought that you were saved through confession, through baptism, through "receiving the holy spirit," etc.

For most of Christian history, until the Protestant Reformation, nobody actually had access to this doctrine of salvation. So I guess they all went to hell, eh?

Don't be silly, Tally. An omnipotent god can choose to be not omnipotent, surely you can see that? I'm unsure how salvation in my case would work, because the assumption is I will go to a christian version of paradise filled with christians? Oh, how subtly god works his miracles, placing me in hell forever by placing me in paradise. So, if I'm saved, I'm damned and if I'm damned, I'm damned. Seems like a no win situation all round. Maybe god will take pity on me and just kill me and let me go back to the universe and stars from whence I came.

You are absolutely right! God have never forced Himself on anyone although He will show you the way He will not tag you along, you have to make that choice were you want to end up.

And its not a difficult thing to decide on, I am sure doing drugs prostitution murder steel hate etc is a much more difficult decision to make than choosing life!

An omnipotent, omniscient deity created Satan, and therefore evil, and therefore, by extension, He created Hell. God also created the Earth and every species on it, and gave humans the 'choice' between the two whilst knowing all along exactly what each human will 'choose'.

It is entirely in your God's control. He creates all souls, and knows which will go to Hell before they're even born. If you deny that, then you deny His omniscience.

Contradicting the other person that answered your question i think that you are compleatly right and it is up to us because he gave us free will and thats what makes it our decision.

I love it when black kettles call themselves out.

To Kira, the ignorant one, you are your own words....

"you lack style, substance and intelligence in your rant"

Realize what projection of one self means.
