Men are gay because they don't want or desire women. But women have the body part distinctly made for penetration. If men don't want that body part, why would they still want penetration. I admit I am ignorant about homosexuality. It just seems so against the grain to me. Thanks for trying to explain. I understand that it is more emotional than physical but you do eventually get to the physical. That would ruin the emotional for me. But I'm not gay.

I do not think you understand homosexuality.
I want a man - not an anus. I'm looking for a partner - not a part of a body. I want a man because of who he is - not because of a hole which he has.
When a straight man is looking for a partner, is he seeking a vagina or a woman? You are reducing human sexuality to body parts and penetration. Human sexuality is SO much more than that. Isn't it more than that for you?

I'll answer it. The answer is because gay men like other men, not the other men's butt. If that weren't the case, then gay men would just F a woman in the their butt, and have the woman finger-F them back.
Now, does that make any MORE sense???
