Why do people answer questions on Y!A only to say "I don't know"?

Or answer with wild speculations? If you don't know the answer, don't answer!

Update:

So basically you people are content getting to level 7 by answering 20000 questions with "I don't know"? Why not just "blah"

Update 2:

I will report anyone answering tis question with "I don't know" or " 2 point, thanks" or the like causing you to loose 10 points

report them since this is considered gaming. I doubt anyone survives to level 7 with cheating. And there is one character that does answer Blablabla. He/she gets suspended and returns. Has to be the same person.

They do that to get 2 points.

  • For the 2 points. Even though that is considered "gaming" points and they can be reported as violations because of it.

    I don't know.

Seriously, I think it's to get the points without trying. People are too lazy to get up and do it themselves.

That is cheating and point gaming. You can report that answer.

Would you rather get an OPINION masquerading as an answer. When I look around Y!A I see too many "experts" of opinion.
