dishwasher and cutlery?
how can i prevent the marks that appear on my cutlery after they have been in the dishwasher, they look like water marks. should I take them out and dry them straight away or is there something I can do to prevent them. I use a good quality tablet and a rinse aid and some times use vinegar instead of rinse aid but nothing seems to help

If U are referring to knives only, why not just wash and dry them by hand and put them away.
If you are using liquid dish soap the instructions say to add the liquid to both sides of the soap reservoir.
Apparently U are Using top quality dishwashing products. either liq. or powder.
Are U using dollar store utensils? G-d only knows what that crap is made of. It may be just naturally corroding.
Also, my dishwasher has a spinner bar up over the top of the loaded dishes. Reach in there and pull , hard, straight down on the bar. It should come off. Clean the small holes on each end of the bar. They are usually plugged up with tiny bits of plastic or other detritus. Lube the bar with a dab of olive oil, butter, or PAM and replace the bar. This might help a lot.

I don't think there is anything you can do but hand wash them. Somethings just shouldn't go in the dishwasher, can you just hand wash the cutlery? I wouldn't put any really good pots in the DW either it can ruin them. I have 2 sets of knives one get's rusty in the DW and the other doesn't maybe go buy only stainless steel cutlery is better? Good luck!
