Mums and Dads I am in need of a toddler friendly recipe for tonight...?

Any recipe will do :) we all eat the same meal, but I am a bit stuck for what to do for tonight.

These are the meats that are in my fridge:

*Chicken (whole)

*Sausages

*Beef

I have most condiments, herbs, veg., staples etc....so fire away :) I am in need of inspiration!

Update:

* We don't plan any special meals round her, sorry I didn't make it very clear :). We will all eat the same thing.

I have 4 - ages 6, 5, 3 and almost 1. The biggest hit (and one of my favorites because it's so easy!) is sloppy joe's!

If it's just 3 of you, a pound of chop meat will be plenty. Buy the Manwich Sloppy Joe mix and follow directions. The only other think you need are rolls (my gang loves the potato rolls).

    Enjoy!

If you have potatoes, Do a smothered Potato and sausage I have a toddler and she loves it with a green bean and a fruit maybe a a roll or toast. All you have to do is peel and slice potato, cut sausage and if your toddler likes onion slice it too season with salt & pepper and cook down until potatoes are done serve with a side of fruit and veggies whole meal in under 30 min. and under 10.00 if you have all of the ingredients

To be honest, I never cooked special meals for my child (or planned menus around her wishes) when she was a toddler. I cooked in the usual way, and she learned to eat a wide variety of tastes.

So... make what you enjoy, or browse your cookbooks or the web for ideas.

You could roast or poach the chicken, with seasonings, and serve it with rice or pasta or potatoes and veggies.

Beef? What cut? Roast? Goulash? Curry? Stew? Chili? Casserole? Shepherd's Pie?

Sausage? What kind? Fry and serve with mashed potatoes. Or cut up and mix with beans and veggies as a casserole or stir fry.

    Tater Tot Casserole

    1 bag tater tots

    1lb. ground beef

    1can mixed veggies

1 can cream of mushroom (or chicken if you like)

    1 bag shredded cheese

Brown beef and drain. Mix in soup and mixed veggies. Put mixture into an casserole dish. Cook tater tots. You can either deep fry them or bake them in the oven. Place on top of beef mixture. Bake for about 45 minutes. Top with shredded cheese during the last 5-10 minutes of baking.

This is so cheap!!!! And my kids love it!!! Should be a hit. I like it too!!!
