Oh there are so many there and are pretty fresh since you are so close to the ocean but when I visited I think it was called Monster Sushi that was really good! You can find other sushi places in particular from an online yellow pages. There are a bunch others in San Francisco like Osaka Sushi or Nihon....

Go to Sushi Rock!! They have awesome lunch specials; the rest of their menu is also reasonably priced =)
Besides the food, the atmosphere is really fun! The name of the place is reflected in the funky names they give their sushi rolls- great date place or somewhere to go with friends & family!

You do not want to take any chances going to a cheap sushi place. If you want cheap sushi, try trader's joe.

It's not cheap but you definitely get the bang for your buck. Their menu is creative and will adjust according to what is most fresh.
My experience is there is no such thing as cheap but good sushi. To get quality ingredients, you're going to have to pay for it.
