How can I make a 100% cotton shirt shrink without using the dryer?
I bought a thermal/waffle shirt made of 100% cotton but it says "Hand wash and line dry only." Dry cleaning is ok too. It is a tad too big and I was planning on putting it in the dryer to shrink it just a bit. It has some markings on it that will surely melt in the dryer. What can I do?

Try washing it in very hot water and letting it air dry. You might be able to dry it in the dryer if you put it on a very low setting and check it frequently, but if the markings are made of certain kinds of rubber they can put out harmful fumes.

im pretty sure washing it in hot water helps it to shrink, but i dont know if it works only when paired with the dryer, or if line drying will work too. its worth a try.

you cant really.. maybe try blow drying or laying out side in heat, but that can still ruin those marks..but you could prob cover them..
but for like 5 or 10bucks you can have it fitted to your body and like a dry cleaners.better than having an unfit shirt..
