Going on a 25 mile road walk, how much food should I take?

I am wondering if anyone can advise me on how many calories, roughly, I should take on this type of walk/hike.

I would say enough that would last you a day. Bring lots of water too.

On average, a person burns about 140 calories per mile. So, you'll burn 3500 calories. That doesn't mean that you need to bring 3500 calories worth of food though. Your body can store 1200 calories of enery and can also access more calories if needed through fat. So basically, I'd bring 1500-2000 calories.
