Looking for someone with Medical Billing/Health Insurance experience*?
Hello there! I am a soon to be new mommy (Due in July). I am hoping to find someone with a little experience with making sense of all these medical bills! I really wish I had a friend in the industry, but unfortunately I do not. :(
I can't seem to make any sense of all these bills I keep getting from the doctor/insurance company, etc. Does anyone out there want to lend a helping hand to this confused little lady?? Perhaps we can talk on the phone? I have a TON of quesitons and have not even begun the phone calls to the insurance company yet! I'm afraid it is going to get MUCH MUCH worse once the baby arrives and if I don't get it figured out by then I'm going to be screwed!
My current health plan is Blue Cross Blue Shield....
Thanks so much for looking!

Your medical bills will be summarized and shortened, but not the price. First you have the appt, weeks later you get a EOB, and shortly after that a bill.... Now here is how you figure it out, if you can remember to the appt, (write it down, or get a copy of your medical record) you will be able to link the bill to the what we call in the medical field " date of service." The bill is suppose to correlate with the test, if they don't you are being over charged. Fact being all must be documented or its illegal to bill for it. It will take time to do this, but it is truly the easiest way to understand. Start with matching the days up. it will flow from there.
As far what they are you probably need to question the Dr.
